Aug 4 | Chill Cycle is today! Check it out! Film screening in Anacostia!

You’ve heard of a drive-in theater, but have you ever been to a cycle-in cinema?
We’ll meet at BicycleSPACE in Shaw and travel to Kingman Island on the Anacostia River for a river clean-up. The ride will be followed by an indoor screening of “Chasing Ice” (admission: $10) at the Anacostia Arts Center.
Chill out with frozen treats from Pleasant Pops, chilled drinks from Honest Tea, chillout music from DJ Imitor and a bike-themed auction thanks to Cleverhood and local artists. The afternoon will feature an encore presentation of original pieces from Standing Room Only: The Bike Seat Show by 1300 M, Elisa Rafter, Gregg Deal, James Walker, Julian Lytle and KeyHan.
Special thanks to National Geographic Channels for making this presentation possible.

Chasing Ice is the story of one man’s mission to change the tide of history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet. Within months of that first trip to Iceland, the photographer conceived the boldest expedition of his life: The Extreme Ice Survey. With a band of young adventurers in tow, Balog began deploying revolutionary time-lapse cameras across the brutal Arctic to capture a multi-year record of the world’s changing glaciers.
