Dear Friends of Shepherd Parkway,

Please join us at the next Shepherd Parkway Community Clean-Up from 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, September 15.

Over 10,000 pounds of trash has been removed from the woods since the start of 2012, but much remains to be done to rid the park of pollution and invasive species.

This is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to earn community services hours. Many volunteers have found this work especially satisfying because the results are immediately visible.

We will be meeting as always at the corner of Malcolm X Avenue and 2nd Street SE in Washington, DC.

Also be sure to mark your calendars for our final two workdays of the year: Saturday, October 20and Saturday, November 17

If you or your organization wants to help out in the park but those dates don't work for you, we would be happy to host you any day that does. Just call or email me and we'll set it up!

Lastly, if you haven't already, be sure to like us on Facebook:

Peace and Blessings,
