DC Office of Planning + Vivid Solutions Print Lab team up on special Anacostia project

I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag - yet -  but I will say that this collaboration is creating something that is both creative and needed.  When completed, this project would have transformed a formerly blighted space into something pretty "illuminating." This is the first time something of this scale has been attempted east of the river but I have a feeling it won't be the last --- it really is that cool.

Curious? Be sure to attend the LUMEN8Anacostia Festival Finale this Saturday night for a sneak peek of the DC Office of Planning special project and be sure to attend their station at the corner of MLK Jr. Ave SE + Good Hope Rd SE. Representatives from Office of Planning will be on hand to provide information related to this installation.

DC Office of Planning
"Kudos" to Office of Planning for thinking outside of the box on this project and for using a Ward 8 resource - Vivid Solutions Digital Print Lab -  to produce it. We should encourage more collaborations such as this one. Special thanks also go to Scott Kratz for his tireless efforts on this project. Thanks Scott!!!

Andrea, Director of Digital Production at
Vivid Solutions making sure everything is perfect.

I love it! Office of Planning and DCRA has to be the two most forward thinking of the DC agencies. This is a very good look.
