This says SS got cell phones for ANC members, got CSOSA to hand out ANC fliers, wants to require non-profits to put ANC members on their board. That's great for ANCs. What's in it for me?
In no way do I mean to undermine Ms. Seegars' ability but this post shows she is not the candidate Ward 8 needs. At the end of the day, we live in a 21st century world and as a young person working, I know what the ward really needs is a council member that understands that the future of the ward lies in it's young people. They need a council member who can relate to them in addition to having the necessary qualifications. The post shows Ms. Seegars is either not THAT technologically savvy or that she wasn't that interested in getting a message out to the readers of the blog.

I have two questions:
1) Piggybacking off of the prior comment is there a reason that in this age of social media and technology that you don't have a campaign website or Twitter account? Something to help spread your message.
2) How would you propose increasing economic development in Ward 8? Is this an issue of Ward 8 residents needing more job training or more jobs? How do we get back on track?
Talking loud and saying nothing...Material thats more flash that substance...Judging by your material its no wonder why Ward 8 lags the rest of the city in terms of opportunities, we do not need a nother mouthpiece talking loud and saying nothing...sorry ward 8 is better off with out you...
13 pages, 4 of which are pictures. This is a blog and not coffee table book. This did not have to surpass 1 page and I am certainly 3/4 of this information was irrelevant when it comes to announcing a candidacy. The average blog post is under 500 words, 1-2 pictures and politically at most 100.
I Think the best candidate will not be on the ballot thanks to the petty politics displayed by ms seegars...I signed a petition for gary feenster, see his page (and take note) at www.dcward8.org
I hate to sound like an education snob but Ms. Seegar's write-up exposes her lack of education. While education isn't mandatory to being successful I want a council-member that is aware of the Ward's history while being able to look forward, take advantage of new media and have new ideas. Posting a 13 page flyer designed in Word with a bunch of pictures IS NOT ENOUGH FOR A JOB THAT REQUIRES YOU TO MANAGE A MULTIMILLION $ BUDGET! The sad thing is that Ms Seegars really thinks she's qualified. SMH
