Will update as news becomes available. Very disturbing, both of these schools are up the street from my house, across the street from MLK & Malcolm X Ave SE.
I saw this on the news early this morning. It's so disheartening! In front of a school...during drop off hours....just in time for MLK Day. I just hope none of the students witnessed anything....
Barry says, "We gotta stop it." Also, he states, "can't be done by me." Marion Barry pass the buck to everyone: preachers, teachers, mayor, etc... Also, he stereotypes the victims as truant drug dealers. Listen to the difference between chief Lanier's facts and Barry's wild stereotypical speculation. If Barry were White he'd be crucified for his comments. He is so a part of the problem and not the solution. These male youth are not listening to Barry talk about once upon a time, 30yrs ago, I had a youth JOBS program. It's time for new leadership in Ward 8.
