My friends (and their cute kids) are kind of a big deal.

While we are on the subject of the awesomeness that is my former roomie of seven years (yes, someone actaully shared a home with The Advoc8te and lived to tell the tale) please check out Lango of Prince George's County! The Adovc8te is childless but I kind of want to sit in on a French class - my francais skills have really fallin off.

ABOUT LANGO
At Lango your child will learn a new language, make developmental strides, explore other cultures and make friends. Our highly engaging language classes use music, games, art, and stories to teach kids new languages. We offer Spanish, Mandarin and French classes at convenient locations throughout Prince George's County! Please complete the Request Info page above to be contacted by us directly regarding a free trial class.

Classes

Each 10-week session is only $179. That is less than $18 per class for small group instruction. An excellent value! All new families are always invited to try their first class for free.

Spanish, Mandarin, & French for Kids

Our classes offer a uniquely developed curriculum which tailors activities to suit the age group of their students. Read our class descriptions to find the right class for your child! Classes are offered on the weekends and weekdays generally as a part of a school or program activity.

Tot-and-Parent Classes
Children in this class don't sit still for long! Accompanied by parents or caregivers, these young "students" (ages 1½ to 3 years) start learning a new language through a variety of activities designed to engage their minds and bodies. Music and movement form the foundation for the classes, as the children sing simple, rhythmic songs and dance, run, spin and jump around the room! Meanwhile, our teachers work with the accompanying adults, teaching them age-appropriate games and activities so that they can reinforce learning at home. These "playclasses" are great for parents and caregivers who want to learn a second language alongside their children!

Preschoolers' Classes
Fun and play form the foundation for our Preschool Spanish classes. Within two or three classes, kids ages 3-5 learn key phrases in their new language through simple, repeated songs and chants. Meanwhile, they become familiar with more complex aspects of the language by engaging in "adventures," art projects and movement-based games that require them to solve simple problems - in their new language, of course! These adventures, starring the Lango Kids, our multicultural cast of characters, take students to other lands and cultures to ensure that their language instruction is combined with cultural exposure. Preschoolers' Lango classes are great for kids who are enrolled in preschool, but have not yet started kindergarten.
