Excerpt:
"As the chair of the committee on Aging and Community Affairs, which has oversight over the ANCs, I will try to meet periodically with the ANC commissioners. The purpose of this meeting is to give you an opportunity to raise concerns, get answers, and to strenghten the partnership between goverment and the ANCs. There will be ample time for questions. I have invited the following to attend:

Councilmember Catania held the first city-wide ANC meetings in 1999 and 2000. Indeed, when he oversaw ANCs, comprehensive reform legislation was passed, all-day training occurred and he was the first to demand that all ANCs participate in oversight hearings.
I really like Catania when it comes to ANC legislation. I feel like he would get some answers and wouldnt stand for any mess.
