What we call Shepherd Park on the corner of Malcolm X Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. Perhaps the only National Park in the country found at the intersection of MLK and Malcolm X.
With a couple donated edging tools, a borrowed/rented/donated lawn aerator and some grass seed, a church group could whip that park into shape (even dragging their feet) in half and afternoon.
I agree - there really are some wonderful things we can do in that park. I still think that the Farmers Market should relocate there - its a perfect location.
