Hopefully, more folks will feel inspired to write about their communities. I know there are many of us who want to learn about them.
Here is a list (according to Wikipedia so don't shoot me if it's not complete) of all the neighborhoods in Ward 8. Perhaps someone will feel inspired to go to blogger.com (or some other blog platform) and start their community blog today. I would also love to see more Advisory Neighborhood Commissions take advantage of this FREE rescource (no need to spend ANC funds) and create some blogs of their own - it's a great and user friendly way to get the word out to residents.

was there a Randle or Randell Heights as well? I may have the wards mixed up.

Shipley Terrace, formerly known as Randall Heights, is a large residential neighborhood in Southeast Washington, D.C., bordering Prince George's County, Maryland. The neighborhood, named after a large public housing complex in the neighborhood, is largely occupied by low-income housing — primarily walkup and garden unit apartments, although there are some detached single-family houses near Southern Avenue.
Shipley Terrace is bounded by Alabama Avenue to the north, Mississippi Avenue to the south, Wheeler Road to the west, Suitland Parkway to the northeast, and Southern Avenue to the southeast. Also see article on Anacostia.

Is Marshall Heights in Ward 7? I have heard of it but I think it may be 7. I would still love to see a blog from there!
